Forest Stewardship Council Excellence Awards

In 2011, OfficeMax won the title “Retailer of the Year” at the annual Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Excellence Awards.

The FSC aims to promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of forests in Australia and countries supplying the Australian forest products market.

The objective of the Awards is to recognise and reward organisations that exemplify the spirit and intent of the FSC system through their management practices, contribution and their promotion of FSC certification and products.

With our stringent paper procurement policy, our commitment to sound environmental practices, our wide range of environmentally sound paper products, and our dedication to educating customers and staff on environmentally sound products, our customers can be confident that they are making positive paper buying choices when they shop with us.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement, and we will continue to work with the FSC in the future to ensure we continue our best practice in paper sourcing and strive to offer our customers the latest environmentally conscious products.
